There are 117 casita-style suites scattered throughout the land, grouped into six villages with its own style and features. There are four choices of guestrooms: Standard, Deluxe, Catalina, and Premium. All are comfortable with the amenities required by the savvy guest. Being all-inclusive, the room rates include health-conscious meals using only the best and freshest ingredients. It is a no-smoking resort, and strictly for adults only. In each room, there is cable TV, a DVD player, and Internet connection. Guests also enjoy free transportation to and from the airport.

Miraval is best known for its more than 60 spa treatments; in a single year, it had received the accolade as America’s top spa from three of highly respected publications in the industry—Spafinder, Conde Nast Traveler, and Travel + Leisure.

Miraval’s holistic approach to wellness combines programs addressing each guest’s physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Spa treatments include a number of kinds of massages, body scrubs, mud masks, facials and waxing services, acupuncture, hair and nail treatments, as well as a host of other pampering activities that are for both men and women.

Participation to the self-discovery activities is optional but highly recommended.  There are a variety of “Clue-In” activities, from yoga and meditation, to creative learning sessions like lectures and consultations on relationships and communication, and fitness and conditioning exercises.

There are outdoor adventure challenges as well, ranging from biking, wall climbing, golf, and hiking. There is a low-rope challenge course (one of which was done by Oprah herself), a 1,000-foot zipline, and the Quantum Leap for the more adventurous ones.
